Bring these five things
- Driver's license or photo ID.
- Auto insurance card. PIP is on your own policy in Florida, whoever caused the crash.
- The crash report or driver exchange slip, if you have it.
- Emergency room discharge papers or any imaging report, if you went.
- Your attorney's name and number, if you have one. If you do not, say so; the coordinator can help.
Where to go
3320 N Federal Hwy, suite 107, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064, on the east side of US-1 between Copans Road and Sample Road. Park in the lot in front. If you are coming from Boca Raton or Deerfield Beach, the office is south of Sample Road; from Pompano Beach or Fort Lauderdale, north of Copans.

Janelle Deal checks you in, confirms the crash date against the 14-day PIP window and collects the insurance details. Dr. McNamara-Krauss takes the crash history and performs the examination: orthopedic and neurological testing, range-of-motion measurements and palpation, with an imaging referral if the findings call for one. Treatment starts the same visit, chosen from what the exam found. Before you leave you know the plan, the next appointment, and what was documented.

What should I bring to the first visit?
Your driver's license, your auto insurance card, the crash report or exchange-of-information slip if you have it, any emergency room discharge papers or imaging reports, a list of medications, and your attorney's contact details if you have retained one. Janelle Deal handles the PIP paperwork from there.
How long is the first visit?
Plan on the better part of an hour. The examination with Dr. McNamara-Krauss includes the crash history, orthopedic and neurological testing and range-of-motion measurements, followed by the first treatment in the same visit. The exact length depends on what the exam finds.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. Treatment on the Antalgic-Trac decompression system uses a harness over clothing; laser and shockwave need skin access to the treated area, so a tank top or shorts helps for shoulder, hip or knee injuries.
Will I pay anything at the first visit?
Florida PIP pays 80% of reasonable medical expenses when treatment starts within 14 days, and the office bills your carrier directly. Your policy deductible and whether an emergency medical condition is determined affect the rest. The coordinator explains your specific coverage before treatment begins.
Can I bring someone?
Yes. A family member or friend is welcome in the waiting room and, if you want, in the examination. If you need a Spanish speaker, Janelle Deal and Elizabeth Celestin, APRN, are both on staff.
What if I cannot come during regular hours?
Saturday appointments are available by request, and the phone is answered 24/7 so the request can be made any time. Regular appointment hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, and Tuesday from 2pm to 6pm. The office cannot see walk-ins outside those windows without an arrangement.
