Car Accident Doctors Group serves south Palm Beach County from an office a few minutes below the county line. Dr. Carol McNamara-Krauss, DC, practices at 3320 N Federal Hwy #107 in Lighthouse Point, on US-1 between Sample Road and Copans Road, about fifteen minutes from Boca Raton, twenty from Highland Beach and twenty-five from Delray Beach.
The county line changes nothing about your claim. Florida's no-fault statute is the same in Palm Beach County as in Broward. What you get by crossing the line is The Same-Day Evaluation: 1. Call or send the form, any hour. 2. Examination with Dr. McNamara-Krauss. 3. Treatment starts the same visit. 4. Records that hold up. Janelle Deal, our case coordinator, has 30 years in Florida PIP claims. Call (754) 342-6479, answered 24/7.
Cities in Palm Beach County we see patients from
Roads, hospitals and the courthouse
South Palm Beach County's crashes concentrate on I-95 at Glades Road, Yamato Road, Palmetto Park Road, Linton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, and on the arterials that feed those interchanges: Glades Road past the Town Center mall, Military Trail through the gated communities, and Federal Highway through downtown Boca Raton and Delray Beach. A1A through Highland Beach is a different problem, with condominium driveways turning across fast through traffic and no signals for three miles.
Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, is the emergency room for Boca and the south end of Highland Beach. Delray Medical Center on Linton Boulevard is the area trauma center and serves Delray Beach. Any head injury, loss of consciousness, chest pain, fracture or numbness goes to one of them first; we screen for head injury and concussion and refer them, and we do not treat them. For the attorney reader, cases from all three cities are filed in Palm Beach County at the South County Courthouse on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Our records go out as one PDF from a proprietary case documentation system built in consultation with personal injury attorneys, with the first-visit orthopedic and neurological testing and range-of-motion measurements documented the same day and a treatment note on every visit.
Florida is a no-fault state and the rules are statewide. Personal Injury Protection pays 80% of reasonable medical expenses up to $10,000 if initial treatment begins within 14 days of the crash. Without an emergency medical condition (EMC) determination, the benefit is limited to $2,500. An EMC can only be determined by an MD, DO, PA or APRN, not by a chiropractor; this office does not make EMC determinations and refers patients out for them. Chiropractic care is covered under section 627.736, Florida Statutes; the details are on our 14-day rule page. This is general information, not legal advice. Dr. Carol McNamara-Krauss is a Florida-licensed chiropractic physician (DC), license CH5281.

Car accident care in Palm Beach County: questions
Which Palm Beach County cities does the office serve?
Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach, the three cities closest to the county line. The office is at 3320 N Federal Hwy #107 in Lighthouse Point, a few minutes south of the Hillsboro Canal on US-1. Drive times are about fifteen minutes from Boca, twenty from Highland Beach and twenty-five from Delray by Federal Highway or I-95 to Sample Road.
Are the PIP rules different in Palm Beach County?
No. PIP is set by Florida statute, section 627.736, and applies identically in every county. Initial treatment within 14 days of the crash, 80% of reasonable medical expenses up to $10,000, and a $2,500 limit without an emergency medical condition determination from an MD, DO, PA or APRN. This office refers out for that determination. This is general information, not legal advice.
Where are Palm Beach cases from these cities filed?
At the South County Courthouse on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, the Palm Beach County venue for Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach cases. Records from our Broward office are used there the same way as from any provider. Janelle Deal coordinates with firms on both sides of the line. See medical documentation for what the file contains.
Which hospital is the trauma center for south Palm Beach County?
Delray Medical Center on Linton Boulevard is the area trauma center. Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, is the emergency room for Boca Raton and the south end of Highland Beach. Go to either first for a head injury, loss of consciousness, chest pain, fracture or numbness. Neck, back and soft-tissue pain without those red flags can come directly to our office.
How do I get to the office from Palm Beach County?
Two routes. Federal Highway south from Boca Raton crosses the Hillsboro Canal into Deerfield Beach, passes Hillsboro Boulevard and Sample Road, and the 3320 building is on the left before Copans Road. Or take I-95 south to the Sample Road exit, go east across Dixie Highway to Federal Highway, and turn south.
When should a Palm Beach patient pick a closer office?
Head injuries, concussion, fractures, lacerations and internal injuries belong at Boca Raton Regional Hospital or Delray Medical Center first. Emergency medical condition determinations require an MD, DO, PA or APRN, so we refer out for them. If you live west of Military Trail or cannot manage the drive several times a week during a treatment plan, an office inside Palm Beach County is a fair choice.
