A car accident doctor for Pompano Beach is five minutes north of Atlantic Boulevard on US-1. Car Accident Doctors Group, the accident-injury practice of Dr. Carol McNamara-Krauss, DC, is at 3320 N Federal Hwy #107 in Lighthouse Point, right on the Pompano border between Copans Road and Sample Road. From Old Pompano, Cresthaven or Harbor Village, you are closer to us than to any hospital.
Pompano Beach sends us more crash patients than any other city, and the reason is simple: the roads. Atlantic Boulevard, Copans Road and Sample Road all cross I-95 and Dixie Highway inside city limits, and the interchanges feed rear-end collisions all day. Patients come to us because they can get a same-day exam, start treatment the same visit and hand their attorney a clean record. The phone, (754) 342-6479, is answered 24/7, and Janelle Deal, our case coordinator, speaks Spanish.
Crash corridors, the nearest ER, and where the claim gets filed
Three east-west roads carry most of Pompano's traffic and most of its collisions: Atlantic Boulevard, Copans Road and Sample Road. Each has an I-95 interchange, each crosses Dixie Highway and the railroad tracks, and each ends at Federal Highway or the beach. The Atlantic Boulevard corridor between Powerline Road and Federal, past the casino and the Pompano Citi Centre area, is a common site of rear-end and side-impact crashes at the signals. Copans Road at I-95 is a merge problem in both directions. Sample Road at the Turnpike and at Powerline Road is where westbound commuters to Coral Springs and Coconut Creek get hit from behind in stop-and-go traffic. Along A1A, the beach traffic near the Pompano Beach Pier and the Hillsboro Inlet bridge is slow and distracted.
The emergency room for Pompano Beach is Broward Health North on Sample Road, just west of I-95. Go there first for any loss of consciousness, head wound, chest pain, weakness or numbness in the arms or legs, or a suspected fracture. We do not treat head injuries or concussion; we screen for them and refer. For the attorney reader, Pompano Beach cases belong to the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale. Every visit here produces a treatment note, the first visit produces orthopedic and neurological testing with range-of-motion measurements documented the same day, and the whole file goes out as one PDF.
Florida is a no-fault state. Your own PIP coverage pays 80% of reasonable medical expenses up to $10,000, but only if your initial treatment happens within 14 days of the crash. Without an emergency medical condition (EMC) determination, the benefit is limited to $2,500. An EMC can only be determined by an MD, DO, PA or APRN, not by a chiropractor, and this office refers patients out for that determination rather than making it. For a Pompano Beach driver, the 14 days are more than enough time to get here; the risk is waiting for the soreness to pass on its own. Read section 627.736 on our PIP page. This is general information, not legal advice. Dr. Carol McNamara-Krauss is a Florida-licensed chiropractic physician (DC), license CH5281.
Getting to 3320 N Federal Hwy #107
From Old Pompano or the beach: take Atlantic Boulevard to Federal Highway and turn north. Drive about two miles, past Copans Road. The 3320 building is on the right, before Sample Road. Park in front and walk to Suite 107 on the ground floor.
From Palm Aire, Cresthaven or Cypress Bend on the west side: take Copans Road east across I-95 and Dixie Highway to Federal Highway, turn north, and the building is a short distance up on the right.
From Kendall Green or Pompano Beach Highlands: Sample Road east to Federal Highway, turn south, and we are on the left a few blocks down.

Car accident doctor for Pompano Beach: questions
How far is the office from downtown?
About five minutes by car. From the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Federal Highway, drive north on US-1 past Copans Road and the 3320 building is on the right before Sample Road. There is a lot in front and Suite 107 is on the ground floor. The phone, (754) 342-6479, is answered 24/7 if you want to confirm an appointment before you leave.
I was rear-ended on Copans Road at I-95 and feel fine. Do I still need an exam?
Yes, the exam matters more when you feel fine than when you do not. Whiplash and soft-tissue injuries commonly show up two to three days after the impact. Florida PIP requires initial treatment within 14 days, and the first-visit exam documents range of motion and orthopedic and neurological findings before symptoms change. A crash at that interchange is a typical rear-end mechanism. This is general information, not legal advice.
Should I go to Broward Health North first?
Broward Health North on Sample Road is the right first stop for any head injury, loss of consciousness, chest pain, numbness, weakness or suspected fracture. For neck pain, back pain, stiffness and soreness with no red flags, you can come directly to us. If the ER treated you, bring the discharge papers; they help Janelle Deal set up the PIP claim correctly.
Do you treat people who were hurt on the Turnpike or the Sawgrass?
Yes. The Turnpike interchanges at Sample Road and Atlantic Boulevard and the Sawgrass Expressway send us drivers from all over north Broward. Where the crash happened has no effect on your PIP coverage or on the exam. Highway-speed collisions do raise our attention to seat belt injuries and airbag injuries, which are checked on the first visit.
Does the office take PIP from a Pompano Beach policy?
PIP coverage follows the policy, not the city, and chiropractic care is covered under Florida section 627.736. Bring your insurance card and the crash report and Janelle Deal, our Attorney-Patient Case Coordinator with 30 years in Florida PIP claims, opens the claim. PIP pays 80% of reasonable expenses up to $10,000 if you start treatment within 14 days. This is general information, not legal advice.
Hablan español?
Sí. Janelle Deal and Elizabeth Celestin, APRN, both speak Spanish, so a Spanish-speaking patient from Collier City or Leisureville can handle the intake, the PIP paperwork and the exam questions without a translator. Call (754) 342-6479 and ask for a Spanish speaker when you book. The office is five minutes north of Atlantic Boulevard on Federal Highway.
What can this office not do for a Pompano Beach crash patient?
We do not treat head injuries or concussion, and we do not make emergency medical condition determinations, which require an MD, DO, PA or APRN. Those cases go to Broward Health North or to a referral partner first. We also do not apply shockwave to the spine. If your injury is a fracture, a laceration or internal, the ER on Sample Road is the right place, and we pick up the recovery afterward.
Injured on the road in Pompano Beach? The 14-day clock is running.
Call (754) 342-6479, any hour, or send the short form. You will see Dr. McNamara-Krauss, not a rotating provider, and your first treatment happens the same visit.
